Donate a bike

We have an ongoing need for used bicycles of every shape and size. Children’s bikes become part of our Kids Bike Trade UP and adult bikes are refurbished and go to teens in our school programs that need a bike.

If a bike cannot be refurnished, we will salvage usable parts from it for future repairs. In some cases we’ll trade it with our partners for services or other bikes.

Bikes can be dropped at the BikeHub during open hours. Please use loading dock door on west side of building.

Tax receipts

If you can find your bike onBicycle Blue Bookwe can write a tax receipt for your donation. Please remember those values are in US dollars. We will pay the comparable Canadian Rate, at the lowest end of the suggested value. Tax receipts are issued quarterly. We are also always looking for Trikes and Adaptive Bikes that we send to special needs classes at schools.

What else could you donate?

Locks, helmets, lights, bike equipment, saddle bags, cold and wet weather gear, safety equipment like vests, spare parts, tires, and bike repair equipment. Youth en Route appreciates all types of donations that help us empower youth to choose active transportation.
